Catalyst was a revolutionary concept in the world of commercial development. As an ‘Industry Integrator’ it brought together companies from single person start-ups to large publicly traded companies in a single building to create a community of people and companies driven to improve health care.

Current projects like Catalyst Omaha and Biodesix continue to push the space by using technology, architecture, and planning, to create the best possible environment for the people using the spaces to do great work.

Part of Koelbel’s success has stemmed from our keen eye for upcoming real estate trends, allowing us to adapt to embrace the ever-changing demands of the market. Colorado has a long history of military and defense work conducted in the state. Utilizing our 70 years of experience, Koelbel is entering the space to make strategic improvements to what has traditionally been a stagnant industry in terms of real estate development.

Working with DeNOVO Solutions, Koelbel is developing a secure facility with a novel approach. We’re refreshing the industry by shouldering the burden of complicated and expensive certifications, making it easier and more approachable for tenants while simultaneously introducing amenities to the industry for the first time. These changes will enable the people using the spaces to do their important work in an optimal environment.

What We Look For

There are certain elements Koelbel and Company looks for when considering new investments. Our acquisition criteria encompass: non-performing notes, value-add commercial projects, broken, block or stalled projects (existing and new), turnaround or overleveraged projects, properties in bankruptcy, and other transactions with a ‘story’ in which we can identify potential.
